Lifestyle versus Posed Newborn Sessions

Recently I've had a lot of questions about newborn sessions, and what they include, how much they cost, what options they have, etc. I wanted to share more information to help you decide which option is best for you. I generally offer two options for newborn sessions: A more posed and elaborate session, including props and baby alone shots, and a Lifestyle session, which is much more candid, natural, and less orchestrated.

A Lifestyle session is more about the family connection, snuggling in your home, documenting and enjoying your baby's nursery, and parents generally holding your new sweet baby and cuddling up together. This session can also be outdoors if that’s more your vibe! The session lasts for up to 90 minutes and costs $485. Here are some examples of what your lifestyle newborn session could look like:

A Posed session includes those type of images above, plus 2-3 styled and posed set ups, with props and backdrops and baby alone. These sessions take more time, as baby is generally sleeping during the posed shots, and this can take time depending on the baby. This session lasts from 3-4 hours, and costs $600.
